At the beginning of September, you received your 2025 Uniform Pension Statement (UPO 2025). You receive a statement like this every year. It is the formal confirmation of the pension you are accruing with ING.
No, you do not need to do anything yet. The new pension plan at ING CDC Pensioenfonds will take effect on 1 January 2028. You will receive information well in advance about the choices you can or, in some cases, must make at that time.
Compensation: do you work for ING and are you over 38?
If so, you could be disadvantaged by the new way in which pensions will be accrued. In that case, you will receive compensation. This is intended to offset the disadvantage of the changed method of pension accrual in the future.
Who can I contact with questions about the compensation scheme?
The employer and employee representatives (the social partners) have reached agreements on the compensation scheme. If you have any questions about this, please contact ING HR.
Would you like to continue your pension plan voluntarily until 1 January 2028 because you are terminating your employment? This is not technically or administratively feasible with our pension fund.
